Cardio-Pulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR) has long been the initial starting grounds for saving a
life. It is said that over 300,000 people each year die from Sudden
Cardiac Arrest (the heart suddenly stopping). CPR can restore a portion of
the heart's circulation in a effort to keep the vital organs alive until help
arrives. Learning these basic life-saving skills is something virtually
every person is capable. The time to get this training is before
the emergency occurs!
Those interested in learning CPR often continue on to learn how to use an AED. These devices can be life-saving, and are a natural addition to a CPR skill. Those wishing to expand their knowledge and training beyond CPR and AEDs often take a Emergency Medical Technician-First Responder course. Know How can arrange on-site training of CPR, EMT-FR, or both. Classes can be provided using American Heart Association or National Safety Council programs.
