HIV/AIDS Online Course

Know How has developed a online HIV/AIDS program that meets the requirements of KRS 214.610/615/620 that is required of all health professionals. It is a companion program to our onsite course that fulfills requirements for multiple levels of certification/licensing in Kentucky, including EMT-Basic, EMT-First Responder, EMT-Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Physician (both MD and DO), optometrists, and other allied health professionals. Please check with your licensing board to ensure certified programs meet your requirements if you are a health professional not listed here. You may also check the list at Cabinet Health & Family Services Approved HIV Programs.

Our program is a podcast (in MP3 format) that you can download to your MP3 player and listen to later, or listen at your computer.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1. Our program fee is $20.
2. Your browser MUST allow cookies, and you MUST give permission to run scripts on your browser. You will not be able to complete our program if your browser refuses these two items.
3. You have three attempts to complete the 24 item, multiple choice online test with a passing grade of 80%. The test is not timed. You can refer to your notes as often as you like while taking the test.
4. If you fail to complete the test with a passing score of 80% you will not be eligible to re-pay and re-take our program until 12 months have passed.
5. Your certificate can be printed when you complete the test. After that, a $5 fee applies to have a certificate re-issued.
6. Our program currently only allows one person per PC to complete the course. If you have multiple users that need to complete the program on the same PC, contact us for instructions.
7. To keep our prices low, we do not offer refunds.
8. If you wish an audio CD mailed to you, there is an additional $10 charge. Add this to your payment in PayPal and add a note that you wish a CD mailed to you. Allow up to 2 weeks to receive your CD.

The steps to obtaining your certificate:
1. Click the Buy Now button below and process your payment. Follow the link back to Know How's website.

2. When you arrive back at Know How's website, you will be prompted to input your name EXACTLY as you wish it to appear on your certificate. You CANNOT change this once it is entered.

3. Bookmark the page, you will need to return to it to take your test.

4. Download the podcast and listen either on your computer, or on an MP3 player at your convenience. You may want to make sure you can take a few notes during the presentation for the test later.

5. Return to your bookmarked page and take the online test.

6. Upon successful completion, your browser will generate a certificate that you can print. This is your proof of completion.

7. Print your certificate and mail to your certifying body. Place a copy of your certificate in a safe place.
